World Refugee Day

On World Refugee Day, we celebrate the courage and strength of refugee newcomers and the many gifts they bring to our communities. Join us for a Reggae Party to honor the day!

Date: Saturday, June 23, 2018
Time: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Location: Cottage Home Neighborhood Community Space
Address: 714 N. Highland Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46202

DJ Andy Capps and DjayRas Tuli will spin authentic reggae music that will have you dancing all night long. You will also find plenty of delicious food, great local beer and wine, and opportunities to engage with Exodus!

The event is family-friendly and Exodus activities will take place between 4 pm – 7 pm. Be sure to chat with your refugee neighbors at our “Ask a Refugee” booth, engage in the “What Would You Take?” activity, write a quick postcard to your elected official, and learn more about how to support refugees locally and globally. We’ll also have Refugees Welcome t-shirts for sale.

The event is free and open to everyone, but monetary donations are welcome! All proceeds from refreshment sales and your donations will support refugee resettlement services in Indianapolis.

A big thank you to our friend Andy Beck and the Cottage Home Neighborhood Association for hosting us! Be sure to RSVP on Facebook and invite your friends. We will see you June 23!
