Ways to Welcome Refugees on #GivingTuesday

This holiday season, you can give the gift of a warm welcome to refugee families in Indiana. Here are 5 ways to show your love and support.

1. Become a monthly donor.

Your gift of $10, $25, or $50 every month adds up to a big impact for refugee families. Your on-going financial support provides vital services such as mental health counseling, employment support, and youth and family case management. Donate now.

2. Participate in our Coat Drive to keep families warm this winter.

Please consider donating a warm coat, hats, gloves, or scarves. You can drop off donations at our office on Fridays between 11 am – 4 pm. Contact Community Engagement Coordintor, Sara Hindi at shindi@exodusrefugee.org if you have any questions or concerns.

3. Volunteer your time and talents.

You can make a difference for refugee families by teaching English or mentoring a family. You can click here to start the volunteer process or read more about one of our volunteers and her experience.

4. Show your local support for refugees with a Refugees Welcome t-shirt.

Show your support for refugees in Indiana with a “Refugees Welcome Here” t-shirt. We have adult, youth, and toddler sizes.  All shirts are $20 each + $5 shipping if you’d like us to mail your order. You can purchase your shirts here.

5. Join us at upcoming events benefiting Exodus Refugee.

There will be two events in December benefiting Exodus Refugee. You can enjoy delicious lunch and dessert with live music at a Warm Winter Welcome at Duos Kitchen on Friday, December 7th from 11 am – 1 pm or you can enjoy poetry and music at Oh! Europa’s Winterfest at Hoy Polloy on Saturday, December 8th from 4 pm – 8 pm.
