Exodus Updates Regarding COVID-19

Dear Friends of Exodus,

As the world responds to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Exodus is committed to serving the most vulnerable—while also doing what we can to help slow the spread of the virus.

As of Monday, March 16 our office will be closed to all walk-ins and guests. All English classes, trainings, and community events are cancelled. We plan to resume all regular operations on Monday, May 4, but subject to further review. The safety of our refugee clients, staff, interns, volunteers, and community are our highest priority, and we do not take this decision lightly.

In addition, we request your cooperation with the following:

  • In-kind donation drop-offs will not be accepted at this time. Please save your donations for once our office resumes full operation.
  • Interns and in-office volunteers will not be expected to report to the office.
  • Community volunteers (tutors, mentors, and co-sponsors) should pause all in-person visits and meetings with refugee clients during this period. Please feel free to check in with your refugee friends by phone or video chat.

Our office number is still being answered for any refugee client or community needs. You may call us at 317-921-0836. Or contact us online.

This moment shows very clearly how much our real safety depends on us standing together as a community and looking out for each other. Over the next few weeks, we will continue to respond to critical needs in the refugee community while doing our part to keep others safe.

You can continue to support this work by making a gift to Exodus. Give today to ensure that refugees have access to the vital services they desperately need during these uncertain times.

Thank you for standing with refugees.
