Donations
Each year Exodus Refugee Immigration welcomes hundreds of new refugees from around the world to Indianapolis. Refugees arrive at Exodus from Iraq, Congo, Somalia, and Burma, among other countries. We are always in need of financial contributions to help incoming refugees make a successful transition to our city. You can join in welcoming these courageous families and individuals to Indianapolis by making a donation today on our online donation form.
In addition to financial donations, we are always seeking the following practical items to assist incoming refugees:
Household Furniture and Supplies
Exodus is seeking household furniture (#1 need) and household supplies (# 2 need). Due to local clothing closets available to clients, Exodus is not accepting clothing donations at this time. No decorative items will be accepted. We set up approximately 5-10 apartments a week and need furniture and household items for each of them.
Vehicles
Exodus also receives donated vehicles each year, which directly benefit families seeking self-sufficiency. These vehicles are given to our clients and used for carpooling, potentially benefiting many refugees. This year Exodus hopes to receive four donated vehicles. The Employment Transportation Coordinator ensures the equitable distribution of the donated vehicles to refugee clients for employment purposes. Furthermore, education on the issues involved with owning and driving a vehicle will be provided, along with advocacy for carpooling, and assistance in the transferring of the title.
How to Donate
If you or friends or family would like to donate any of these items, please call Exodus Refugee Immigration at 317-921-0836 and ask for Laurie Cuellar, the Office Manager, or email her at lcuellar@exodusrefugee.org. She will assist you in making arrangements. We will be glad to pick up the furniture items from homes. Household items can be dropped off at our office 1125 Brookside Avenue, Suite C9 Indianapolis, Indiana 46202.
Thank you so much for your generosity!
